SPRING!

I should have posted this yesterday. But anyway, this describes exactly how I feel!

Spring! The sweet Spring!
Is the year's pleasant king!
Then blooms each thing!
Then maids dance in a ring!

Cold doth not sting!
The pretty birds to sing:
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-wee, tuwitta woo!

The fields breath sweet!
The daisies kiss our feet!
Young lovers meet!
Old wives a-sunning sit!

In every street
These tunes our ears to greet:
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-wee, tuwitta woo!

Spring! The sweet Spring!

AMEN! I've been dying for this warm weather. Only, it's supposed to snow here in the next few days. Lame.

Good poem. The weather was nice here for days and we spent all day outside (no I didn't get anything done those days) but now it is raining/snowing. We sure did enjoy those days though.

You've got quite the talent of writing poems, I'm very impressed. I'll have to figure out a poem of my own too. :)

Did you write the poem? I agree, spring is wonderful! My spring is beginning to end here, though :( Summer is showing its face just a little--in the 80's this past weekend...

No, I didn't write it. It was a song I sang in my senior recital. The poem is by Thomas Nashe (circa 1567-1601).
