26 Reasons This Was a Good Day
1. Someone at the nursing home paid Caleb a dollar because he was being so good.
2. I got a nap (perhaps this should be number 1).
3. Bryan made me waffles for breakfast.
4. We ate Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner (okay, maybe this should be number 1).
5. We found a "Toy Story Game" at DI (we've been searching for quite some time for any Toy Story game. Caleb was so excited that right there in the store he kissed the box, hugged it, and said, "I love this game!").
6. There's a DI here!!! If you can believe it!
7. Savanna learned how to say "cracker" today (ka-ka).
8. Caleb drew me a picture.
9. I shaved my legs (I should be embarrassed that I'm listing this, but all you stay-at-home moms know what I'm talking about).
10. We are making BTS (Better Than (fill in your own blank here)) cake with a German Chocolate Cake mix and crushed Twix (what could be better?!).
11. I get to sing in church tomorrow, and it is one of my favorite arrangements!
12. It is a beautiful sunny (non-rainy and non-cloudy) day!
13. Even though my body shape has changed (thank you, Caleb and Savanna), I still weigh what I did in high school.
14. My wispy hairs have finally turned into bangs (all you moms also know what I'm talking about here).
15. I am proud to say that I handled all tantrums with more patience than normal today.
16. My house is a mess, and I'm not cleaning it!
17. I got to read a few chapters in Jane Eyre.
18. I got to read a few chapters in the Book of Mormon without interruptions!
19. Did I mention Bryan let me sleep in today? Yep, and I got the nap.
20. We ate off paper plates for dinner (which is really a good thing for Bryan because I'm not doing the dishes tonight anyway).
21. Bryan is taking me on a super date next weekend, and I'm very excited!
22. His sister Michelle and her husband Matt will stay with the kids to make it possible.
23. I renewed my driver's license soon enough that I don't have to retest!
24. The bishop's kids made that possible.
25. I got to exercise a couple times this week, with Bryan as my personal trainer!
26. I'm old enough to realize I'm still young.

Sounds like a great day! And I definitely laughed on #9 and #14 cause I DO know what you mean. I WISH I weighed what I did in high school but I'm always happy when a stay at home mom has such a good day. We have our rough ones!
Oh- and I love the new layout!
Hey Brianne--So glad for blogs so we can keep up with you guys! Sounds like it was a good day--we miss you guys a lot. Hope you are adjusting to your new place and you're happy!
Wow, red-letter day! I'm not sure exactly what that expression is from, does anybody know? But it sounds like a great day! Nice. Sunshine on a Saturday in WA is always a great occasion, and you get your hubby home--yay for no more school! Congrats all around. :)
Is today your birthday? Sounds like you were spoiled today with lots of sleep, good kids, good neighbors, and good breakfast! I'd put the high school weight thing right at the top of my list...
happy birthday (right?) if not, happy saturday june 14th...
What a great way to celebrate flag day- er, your birthday! I hope it was great!
Also, I'm always surprised that you are younger than Eric. I guess because you are married to his older brother, it makes me think that you must be older. I wonder if I will ever get it straight!
WHAT A GOOD DAY.IT MUST BE YOUR B-DAY!!!!!WE MISS YOU A TON. GIVE CALEB AND SAVANNA A HUG A AND KISS FROM US.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Holy Cow! I realized it from your title, even before I saw the other comments. Congratulations, and YAY what a beautiful day in every way! You deserve it! (And kudos to Bryan for the nap, pizza, etc.!) I especially appreciated and related to the mommy specific good things. Yay, hooray! Love from all of us in North Carolina!
Shalissa (and Nathan)
Happy Birthday! I have a card for you and everything, then I realized I have no idea what your address is. I'll have to remedy that (especially before June 28th passes)!
--This is Britta, btw--
Brianne,
Debbie Hyde here. I found your blog on ashlees. Hope you don't mind. We miss you guys. Just yesterday on the way to church Cameron was asking me why the primary was not singing for fathers day. I told him it was probably because sister Lindsey was not here to make it happen. He said "Sister Lindsey?... Oh yeah, I liked her!" So anyway you can know that you are missed but but we are excited for your next step in life. How is washington treating you? I am so jealous because you are only about 45 minutes from one of my sisters. Oh well, may someday. My blog is kevdebklan.blogspot.com if you want to take look. Take care.
